Who is the Guilford Press? Their website does not identify anyone as the owner or editor of the Guilford Press. A vanity press? Perhaps it's totally AI? I'm always suspicious of entities for which no one takes responsibility, and consequently I can't take any of this seriously.
Thanks for your comment, Bill. It made me go back and check my references. It seems I spelled the name of the press wrong. It should be Guilford as you spelled it. Guilford is a legitimate publisher dealing in academic, educational, and medical texts - so not very well-known to the public outside of academia and education. The researchers cited in the book are serious about their work and they are using art to explore different ways of understanding human behaviour etc. I am not interested in questioning how useful their results are, only in how their production of art intersects with how contemporary artists are employing research (see Part I).
